Who’s Bad – the Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band plays the Orange Peel Friday night. Doors open at 8; the show starts at 9. $17 at the door.

Fat Tuesday’s coming but the celebrating starts Sunday in Asheville with the Mardi Gras Parade through downtown. It’s family friendly and starts at 3 pm. The route starts on Wall Street and wraps up on Page Avenue near the Grove Arcade. FREE.

Continue the Mardi Gras fun Sunday evening at Packs Tavern, the site of the Queens Ball. The Empire Strikes Brass plays tune while the party rocks from 5 to 10 pm. FREE admission.

Love Dancing with the Stars? Check out the Heritage Classic Dancesport Championships this weekend at the Omni Grove Park Inn. 8 pm Friday and Saturday. $35 and up.

Here’s something for the whole family. The Squirm Burpee Circus features acts like the Human Cannon, the Ladder of Love, and Chainsaw Juggling. 5 pm Sunday in the Bardo Center at Western Carolina University. 5 pm Sunday. $20 adults; $5 kids.

The Asheville Community Theatre’s production of Cabaret, a musical war-era love story set in Germany’s Kit Kat Club, wraps up this weekend. 7:30 nightly; 2:30 Sunday matinees. $15 and up.
