Sir Paul McCartney had a mountain renamed in his honor during his trip to Montana this week.

The Beatles legend performed a concert at the Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula, Montana on Tuesday, and bosses at the University of Montana teamed with city officials to mark the occasion by changing the name of local landmark Mount Sentinel to Mount McCartney.

The honor lasted for 24 hours and during that time, the large white ‘M’ visible on the mountain stood for McCartney.

University president Royce C. Engstrom says in a statement, “We are thrilled to have a legend such as Paul McCartney playing in our community.”
